No surprise here. “too moderate” is being kind. He’s not moderate. He’s a statist.

Where are the Tea Party and liberty groups to throw the big government tax and spender out? Oh yeah, they were busy working to pull 6% for Corkers opponent in 2012.
There are several problems with the grassroots groups in Tennessee. Some of them are phonies. Others spend too much time on ra ra rallies. Egos are a factor causing strife. Failure to prioritize goals is another. While the Republicans have gained a super-majority in the State legislature, grass roots activism has little to do with. It’s mostly fear of Obama and failure of Democrats to offer anything to counter Obama mania.
It’s possible that he has just slipped my radar, but honestly I have not had any real problems with him. The one I truly cannot stand (and refused to vote for a second time) was Corker.
Lamar Alexander is worse than Corker, although I know that’s hard to imagine.
I think Alexander is TERRIBLE! Corker would have you believe he is different but he,too, has drunk the Kool Aid. Haslam too. Earlier this week saw a list of TN US House endorsing Lamar for senate in’14 and infuriated me. Out of the 5-6 seen, only ONE did not endorse him. LA is a RINO and has NO allegiance to those who elected him.
After redistricting, am OUT of TN 9 and now in 8, & 2 names I DO remember backing LA are Fincher & Blackburn. Much more important to be member in good standing of the ‘good ole’ boys club’ than to vote your constituents. Pretty disgusted with both of them and others.
Also heard a while back that LA was not going to run for reelection, and want to put Haslam in place to succeed him…….MORE OF THE SAME!!
Drew, look at their votes. Virtually identical.
Lamar! does more pushing on the coal-powered cars, but they both vote with Obama majority of the time.
